Smart Manufacturing 16 has been designed to attract a large and diverse attendee base.

With Exhibitors form the Dandenong and South East Melbourne Manufacturing Zone taking over the streets of Dandenong, the sheer presence of Smart Manufacturing 16 will be an attraction for all.

The 5 Exhibition precincts in conjunction with the Symposia in the Drum Theatre, Smart Manufacturing 16 will appeal to businesses, investors, buyers and the community at large.

Inbound Trade Mission

Key event partners and stakeholders are working with the Victorian Government to identify key people and organisations who want to commence or increase their business dealings and partnerships with Manufacturers in the designated Manufacturing Zone.

This element of Smart Manufacturing is a key element in delivering outcomes for exhibitors.

Inbound Trade Delegates will attend Smart Manufacturing on May 17 and have time to visit identified organisations later in that week.

Trade Delegate

The team at Smart Manufacturing is working closely with all exhibitors and event partners to identify and invite potential trade visitors to the event.

Invitations will be sent to all identified potential Trade Delegates.

The organising team will also provide Exhibitors with an online invitational form that it can use to personally invite trade delegates to the event.

Trade delegate registration to attend the event and or any or the Symposia elements is free.

Please note however that Trade Delegates will have to advise their attendance at Symposia elements due to a limited capacity.


Schools will be particularly targeted from Primary through to Tertiary. A key goal of Smart Manufacturing is to excite the younger generation about the future opportunities within Manufacturing.

Smart Manufacturing 16 is meant to also highlight the impact the Manufacturing sector has on the Dandenong & South East Melbourne community.

With over 100,000 jobs being supplied by the manufacturing sector, the future and the success of this designated Manufacturing Zone is critical to the ongoing prosperity of the local community.
